HOW TO TRAVEL BHUTAN  is a small country located in the eastern Himalayas with India. Bhutan is a peaceful place cover with green.  Though Bhutan is only a tiny dot on the world map. It is without a doubt one of the most uncrowded and untouched destinations I have ever had the privilege. traveling offers an incredible immersive cultural experience that you don’t find in many places around the world anymore. Read on for some essential Bhutan travel tips, as well as a roundup of the best places to visit in Bhutan for first-time visitors!

So how long should you spend in Bhutan? For first time visitors to Bhutan, I would recommend 7-10 days. 

During that time, you’re likely to tour the Western circuit including Paro, Thimpu, Punakha, and Haa Valley – you can explore these cities easily as part of your 1 week Bhutan itinerary. If you have more than a week. you can then venture onwards to places like Bumthang and Gangtey Valley in Central Bhutan

Visa requirements: 

  • Other tourists require a visa and must book their holiday through a Bhutanese tour operator.
  • INDIA, BANGLADESH, MALDIVES PERSON DO NOT NEED VISA  ONLY CARRY PASSPORT ORIGINAL COPY AND VOTER ID CARD.

(ADHAR CARD NOT ALLOW )

Cost: 

Each visitor must pay US$200 per day in the off-peak season (January, February, June, July, August). US$250 per day in the peak season (March, April, May, September, October, November). If you are traveling alone, you have to pay an additional US$40 per night. On top of the minimum daily package fee. if you are traveling as a group of 2 you pay an additional US$30 per night.

  • INDIAN PAY Rs -1200/- Per Person for each night.

HOW TO TRAVEL BHUTAN IN A WEEK

DAY 1Arrive in Paro Arrive at Paro airport, go to the Thimphu. Paro to Thimphu distance around 65 km. Its take 2 hours,

DAY 2- Thimphu Sightseen  Kuensel Phodrang, National Memorial Chorten (Monument), Folk Heritage Museum. Sangaygang View Point, Changangkha Monastery, Takin Preserve Centre, the national animal in Bhutan can be seen here, Tashichho Dzong.

DAY 3-  THIMPHU – PUNAKHA / WANGDUE SIGHTSEEING After breakfast visit  Afternoon transfer to Punakha / Wangdue Phodrang (4,300 ft.), via Dochu-La- Pass (10,170 ft.) to view the higher Himalayas. The pass also has 108 Druk Wangyal Khangzang Chorten which is believed to bring multi fold merit to all sentient beings and which makes the pass a must-visit place. After lunch visit Chime Lhakhang & Punakha Dzong.

DAY 4 -PUNAKHA KHAMSUM YULLEY NAMGYAL CHOETEN HIKING OR DAY EXCURSION TO GANGTEY VALLEY Drive from Punakha to Phobjikha valley. where you see the Gangtey Monastery and visit the monastery. Phobjikha valley is part of the beautiful Jigme Singye Wangchuck National Park in Bhutan’s most important nature sanctuaries.  This is one of the most remote and untouched regions in Bhutan and is only opening its doors to the outside world and explore the valley and also visit the Black Necked Crane Center.

Day 5 -PUNAKHA – PARO SIGHTSEEING

On way visit in Tachogang Lhakhang. sightseeing in Paro covering Ta Dzong National Museum, Rinpung Dzong in Paro.  Kyichu Lhakhang – one of the oldest Buddist temples in Bhutan.

DAY 6 – CHILE LA PASS

Chele La Pass: the highest point in Bhutan’s Dank roads. The bright yellow sign marking its location stands next to a traditional stone fireplace and stove, a Buddhist prayer wheel marked with a quote advocating kindness, and a small hut and seating area.
