Day 1 :

ARRIVE GUWAHATI – CHERRAPUNJEE (200 KMS / 4-5 Hrs)

Meet and greet upon arrival by ourDriver and then road to Cherrapunje. Cherrapunjee is framed as the wettest place on Earth. The journey to Cherrapunjee offers a pleasant drive as one witness numerous waterfalls & gorges. Longer stay gives opportunity to the visitor to explore limestone caves & waterfalls, the amazing living root bridges and galore of water & adventure activities. While the must visit places are the gorgeous Seven Sisters falls and the Mawsmai cave is in your tour plan. Overnight accommodation will be Cherrapunjee.TERRAIN: HILLS

Day 2 :

CHERRAPUNJEE - SHILLONG

After Breakfast, full day exploration of Cherrapunjee. Sightseeing points are: Ramakrishna School and Museum, Eco Park, Nohsngithiang Falls, Nohkalikai Waterfalls, Mawkdok Dympep Valley View, Mawsmai Cave. Later return back to Shillong. Day 3 :

SHILLONG – MAWLYNNONG – DAWKI –SHILLONG (~205 KMS)

After breakfast, excursion to Dawki (Tamabil – Indo Bangladesh Border and Umngot River), en-route visit Mawlynnong. Later return back to Shillong. Mawlynnong village, situated 90 kms ahead of Shillong, on the Shillong-Dawki Road, 30 kms from Pynursla, is a village of 75 households with a population of 400. An idyllic location, this village epitomizes a standard, which all other villages need to aspire to be. Dubbed the cleanest village in India by Discover India Magazine, the primary Village School till class V boasts of its no dropout record and the village of 90 % literacy. Paved walkways and beautiful flowerbed all along mark the village, with waterfalls, a living root bridge, hilly rivulets, acacia plantation and an excellent view of the faraway plains of Bangladesh all contribute to the ambience of this village. Farming of betel nut & leaves, broomsticks and pepper along with bee rearing are the primary economic activity of thevillage.Overnightaccommodation will be in Shillong.TERRAIN: Hills

Day 4 :

SHILLONG – GUWAHATI(150 KMS / 2-3 Hrs)

After Breakfast, check out from hotel for sightseeing in Shillong. Points to visit in Shillong are:Don Bosco Museum of Indigenous Culture, Ward’s Lake, Lady Hydari Park, Golf Course. Later drive to Guwahati. Or if you come early you can send the afternoon for Shopping. Day 5 :

GUWAHATI TOUR (AS TIME PERMITS) & DEPARTURE

After breakfast, it will be a full day sightseeing of Guwahati. Among the city sightseeing Second world war Cemetery, State Museum, State Zoo and Botanical Garden, Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra (A museum of Assam diverse culture), and Regional Science Museum. Among the Temples are - Maa Kamakhya temple, Navagraha Temple, Bashistha Ashram. Tirupathi Balaji and you can also visit Umananda Island (The smallest inhabited island of India) – There is a Shiva temple in the island and the only way to go there is a ferry. Later drop at Guwahati Railway station.End of Services.
